Principal's Message

Welcome families to Suva Intermediate School!  We are excited to share with you that this year class size has been reduced to better support our students.  We will continue with an advisory period to provide Social Emotional Support for students, have students connect with teachers, and other supports students may need.  Please know that we are here for you and your child, we will continuously be updating our webpage for updates on a variety of resources and tools available to you and your family.

Suva Intermediate strives to  prepare all students for college and career success as 21st Century Learners. Our staff works diligently to ensure that our students learn in a safe, supportive, and nurturing school environment. We endeavor to equip them with the tools they need to be successful students and global citizens. 

Our AVID system continues to build the organizational skills and leadership capacity of participating students. AVID students eagerly participate in college awareness programs and experience college life as they visit various college and university campuses. Through our newly implemented AVID Excel Elective our English Language Learners develop academic language proficiency in all domains – reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Through our AVID system, our students develop the skills and strategies required to become college and career ready. We are proud of their great achievements both in the classroom and around the community as they participate in service learning projects.

We promote expanding opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular activities in the areas of world languages, robotics, visual and performing arts, and leadership and character development. Our students learn about the importance of being kind, working hard and achieving the academic goals they set through our #KINDNESS initiative. Our parent community participates in school related activities and parent education workshops offered throughout the year. Together, our Bulldog Family will accomplish great things!
