Dear Suva Intermediate Families,
We are beginning Quarter 2. Please encourage your child to set goals and continue to work hard. Parent conferences will be next week October 16 to October 20. Teachers will meet with parents on a first come, first serve basis; there will be a waiting area for parents. Please remember that we will be on Minimum Week Schedule October 16-20. Evening conferences will take place on Thursday, October 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Anti-Bully and Red Ribbon Activities
Our counseling team has been sharing anti-bullying presentations with our students this October and we will also be having some Red Ribbon activities for students.
Fall Festival-We will be hosting a Fall Festival for students on Tuesday, October 31st. This is a fun day for students. There will be a Halloween parade in the morning for students and the Fall Festival for students will take place after lunch. All-Stars will create a Haunted House for students. Click Here for: Halloween Costumes Guide
After School Tutoring- After School Tutoring invitations will be sent out during parent conference week and will begin on the week of October 23rd.
Selling on Campus-Friendly reminder that selling on campus is not allowed. Only ASB approved clubs can sell on campus. We have caught students selling homemade candy. Please let your child know that this is not ok, for their health and safety, discourage your child from eating and buying this candy. They may get ill or it may be laced with drugs.
Student Use of Social Media Parent Resources
Below are some bilingual resources and guides for parents.
Student Safety-For your child's safety, please make sure your child is not attending the park without the supervision of an adult. Some students want to go hang out at the park with their friends after school without an adult, but there are some dangers they may encounter if not supervised by an adult.
